On Saturday night I had the great pleasure of having my campaigns first fundraiser event. First off I'd like to thank G. Marshall and Shelley Hann for their wonderful hospitality. They have a beautiful home and I appreciate them opening it up to Vanessa, me, and the hundred or so guests that came out to support my campaign. It was a wonderful event, so thank you very much to the Hanns.

“I have a dream”
The words still resonate in our consciousness today. We can all picture Dr. King, with the watchful eyes of President Lincoln looming behind him, giving his most prominent speech. He spoke of America pure and true. He urged us, as Americans and more importantly as humans, to hold to the values upon which this country was founded: “that all men are created equal.”

--UPDATE--
Thanks to the great repsonse from you guys we were able to reach and even exceed our $40,000 goal. We actually came pretty close to (and may have gone over) $50,000 as well. So thank you all for the great support, emotionally, physically, and financially that you are providing. It is because of supporters like you that we will win and take our values all the way to Sacramento.

Season’s Greetings,
Vanessa and I would like to take a moment to wish you the best this holiday season. Unfortunately it looks like we will be without a white Christmas here in Southern California, this year. But hey, there’s always next year…

I launched my new campaign website, www.Wilk2012.com this morning. This website is dedicated to my upcoming campaign for the 38th Assembly District seat that will be vacated by Cameron Smyth, next year. www.Wilk2012.com will provide you with information about me, my conservative values, and my proven record of leadership.

Like the rest of the nation, California is facing some massive challenges. However, many of our problems have been self-inflicted by a state Legislature that continues to put politics over people.
As your State Assemblyman I pledge to get serious about addressing issues that affect California’s hardworking families.
I will:
