California’s unemployment rate continues to hover around 12%. Yet, the California legislature continues to introduce bills that increase taxes and pile burdensome regulations on small businesses. Small business creates 2 out of every 3 jobs in the state. Scott knows it is the private sector that will the lead the way out of the recession and Sacramento needs to foster a pro-business climate by supporting policies that will encourage investment in our state.
Scott has signed the American’s for Tax Reform’s “No Tax Pledge,” he supports a moratorium on new regulations, as well as the creation of a Regulation Realignment and Closure Commission that will examine ways to streamline and eliminate regulations, so hard-working entrepreneurs can get Californians back to work.
